#whatifwetookthetime

#WhatIfWeTookTheTime is a community project hosted at Cloud DansLab—an open invitation to pause, gather, and practice being human together. Once a month, we open the space for a shared lab: not a class, not a performance, not a therapy session, but a collective inquiry into something many of us feel we are missing. In a world of speed, fragmentation, and quiet loneliness, what would it take to recreate a sense of village? What would it take to belong to a community again—not as a couple, not as a family unit, but as people sharing time, space, and presence?

These sessions explore togetherness at scale. What does it mean to be co-present with others beyond intimacy and beyond obligation? What gives rise to a felt sense of “we” in a room full of different lives, ages, stories, and rhythms? Through gentle practices, shared movement, conversation, silence, and experimentation, we explore how attention, care, boundaries, and availability shape collective experience. We slow down enough to notice what usually slips past: how we arrive, how we listen, how we hold space, how we withdraw, and how we return.

At the same time, this is not only a reflection about community—it is an attempt to build one. Each lab is both a contemplation and a real anchoring point: a place you can come back to, month after month, and recognize faces, gestures, ways of being together. There is no requirement to perform, contribute, or be anything other than present. The project asks a simple but radical question: what if we took the time—to show up, to stay a little longer, to practice togetherness as a skill rather than a given?

This invitation is for anyone who feels the erosion of community and wonders what could replace it. For those curious about co-presence, collective care, and shared meaning in urban life. For those who don’t want a ready-made answer, but are willing to explore the question—together.
