CREATE — SHARE
CLOUD/Danslab | 3–5 April | 10:00–18:00
Three days to dive into what truly moves you—your story, your body, your voice as a performer. This intensive is for dancers, physical theatre makers, mimes, actors, and movers who want to create a solo from the inside out: personal, with your own signature, and stage-ready for an informal showing. On Day 3, you share your solo in an informal showing—supported, and celebratory.
Led by Jérôme Meyer and guest coach Isabelle Chaffaud
What you’ll do
Across three days, you’ll generate material, shape it into a coherent solo, and strengthen your performance choices through a balance of improvisation, composition tools, and structured feedback.
You will work on:
- Deep research into your personal themes and physical language
- Improvisation as a method to generate authentic material
- Composition tools to shape meaning, rhythm, timing, and presence
- Coaching & feedback that is direct, supportive, and practical
- A final-day showing to share your work and integrate the process
How we will work
Day 1 — Source
Find your core material: impulses, memories, images, textures, gestures, voice (if relevant). Build a personal “vocabulary” you can return to. We will look at the roots of fear if any and transform into strength.
Day 2 — Structure
Turn material into form: clarify stakes, develop dynamics, craft transitions, and make compositional decisions that read on stage.
Day 3 — Performance
Rehearse, refine, and share in an informal showing. You’ll receive targeted feedback and leave with clear next steps.
Optional: showing in the evening with some audience and friends
We will do a daily warm up of Flow Fusion and games to stimulate creativity and mutual support
Is it for me?
This intensive is for you if you:
- Want to create a solo—or refresh your solo practice with a concentrated, high-quality process
- Work with movement as a primary language (dance, physical theatre, mime, acting, performance)
- Want a guided structure that helps you move from “I have ideas” to “I have a solo”
- Are ready to experiment, receive feedback, and make clear artistic choices
All levels are welcome, as long as you are comfortable working physically and creatively in a group.

FAQ
Do I need to arrive with a concept?
No. You can come with a theme, a question, or nothing at all. The process will help you generate material and shape it. But if you have already something, you will go further into the process
Will we use text or voice?
Only if it serves your solo. Movement stays central; voice can be integrated when useful.
How much feedback will I get?
You’ll receive structured feedback throughout the process

🔥 Ignite Your Dancing Avatar:3-Day Healing Dance Retreat
The first retreat was so cool I joined a second time. 3 days with beautiful people, dancing, discovering, learning, connecting, being with what’s there and also letting everything that wants to be seen, seen. Every time is different. But again a wonderful experience. Thanks Jerome and Isabelle! See you next time

A wonderful playground where I can (re)discover my movability. Not doing, just being. Being danced. No work, just play! Freedom. ❤️
Ellen
I totally support what you’ve moved within me, because that is the gift I gave myself.

What Jerôme’s class brings me is a place of transformation and recycling of my emotions, through the body. I’m more self-aware in relationship as a result. It also strengthens my faith in human connection, because of the fun and kindness that develops.

In this space I can safely practice how to bring the relationship between my body and my mind into one of More equal and Playful cooperation, rather than one of discipline and domination. I become aware – can notice how – my Body/mind are always in dialogue, never static, and I am encouraged to move in the flow – yin/yang – without judgement or resistance. At least, that’s the goal 😉🙏💛

Getting over mental boundaries about being close to others
Interacting with others on a different level also helps me deal with daily social interaction
Chronic pain management, making it easier for my body to return to a natural flow state
And feeling more at ease in my own body

Magical, just magical. The space: created by beautiful souls and their energies 💫The body is indeed sore today! 😆 and the emotional body allows some soreness too, some sadness to sit along with the amazement of receiving love 💛🚿💦

Yes. And yesterday’s ending ceremony was the cherry on top. How important it is to be invited and to invite ourselves to connect and treat each other with kindness, love and care. We all know that as human beings and the mamals we are that this helps us thrive. 🙏 to the soul (I don’t know her name) who thought of inviting us to do this process.

I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed and appreciated the class – the community the safe space the JOY in the body! 💫 you have (co) created something special 💛

So what really helps me as a musician is first the connection with my body, which i believe is integral in a performance, being musical or not, beyond that you also explore communication with your colleagues in a different way, as the same you would do in a improvisation in music, you would explore the movements and geometry of your own body in relation to another, counterpoint… so for me is also an ludic way of doing the same i would do in musical dialogue, but without all the self judgments and technical struggles with instruments
Last but not least, connecting your breathing to your movement is an excellent way of connecting better my breathing in my playing, in my case since i play wind instruments is even more, but for a string player or whatever would still be important and healthy, usually we tend to create unnecessary tension and disconnection with our breath when playing
