Dance is an ever evolving organism. Within all disciplines it is apparent that over the years new styles emerge from older ones. One dance form in which this evolution is very clear is bellydance. Having its roots in the Middle East during the 17th and 18th centuries primarily in Egypt, Turkey and Lebanon. But it is believed to be much older. Throughout its history new styles of dance were born within the bellydance genre, for example one of the more recent being ATS (American Tribal Style Bellydance ) and Tribal Fusion Bellydance.

The latest edition in this evolution is the merging of Tribal Fusion Bellydance with Urban dance styles known as Urban Fusion Bellydance.

– An introductory course spread over five classes each delving into  combining bellydance with urban dance styles-

The classes will consist of beginner to intermediate bellydance techniques which will gradually level up during the course. On top of that we will layer on an urban dance form, by focusing on one discipline per class.

This course is for the belly dancer looking to add to their vocabulary or the mover/dancer looking for a new challenge.
